BLACK STAR LINEDoing what? Running steamships!

One God! One Aim! One Destiny!

Black Star Archive × Radical Imagination. Legacy Kit, Vol. 01.

The star border and "Doing what? Running steamships!" are from the Black Star Line's 1921 brochure (reproduced in Watson, p. 269); the motto is from the masthead of the Negro World; the red, black and green are the UNIA's colours, adopted in August 1920. Each ship is rebuilt to scale from her own records. Figures: Milton H. Watson, "Black Star Line," Steamboat Bill (Steamship Historical Society of America), pp. 264 to 72.
